DescriptionDeep vertical wall diving at it's best. Expect to find large gorgonian (hard) corals, soft corals, and cloud sponges of all sizes. If you're ever looking in a dive magazine and you see pictures of the "large gorgonians, in the Agamemnon Channel", this is the site. LocationGPS Coordinates:N 49° 44.482' W 124° 02.114' From Seattle, take I-5 North. Cross the US/Canada border and get onto Highway 15 North. In approx 53 kilometers, take Route 1 East, to Horseshoe Bay. At Horseshoe Bay, take the Langdale/Sunshine Coast Ferry. Follow the signs to Sechelt, or wherever you are staying in this area. Contact The Sunshine Coast Tours, and ask for Bryce. CommentsWow! Let me say that again, Wow! This is unreal wall diving. Massive hard corals and cloud sponges the size of VW vans! Not a whole lot of fish life on the walls, but there are covered in sponges and corals. Vizibility was somewhere in the 100+ foot range. This is very deep diving, and I highly recommend doing this on mix. The good corals start in around 200 fsw. This has to be one of my Top 10 all time best dive sites. I proudly give this site two Thumbs UP on the Parker Scale. Incredible stuff. |
