The Little Shop of Physics crew, with the support of the World Year of Physics 2005 program of the APS, took the program on the road for three long trips in the World Year of Physics, spending time presenting programs on several reservation areas.
Here's a summary of where we went and what we did.
The thousands of students we
visited each got a hands-on science experience that left
them with a sense of the wonder of physics, and the lesson
that it is something they can do. The 18 undergraduate
students who took part in the project took some time to
connect with younger students, to remember how to explore
like a child again.
The World Year of Physics might be over, but the
connections we have made will continue. That's the best
part of what this grant enabled us to do.
Thanks for making what was, for us, a miracle year,
possible.
