New projectsUpdated May 7,
2005
I know it's been slim pickins' for fresh content around here lately, but fact is, I been busy. Some of those projects are coming to fruition, so I can share a bit (at last). First off, last Thursday I returned to my photobug days shooting a benefit concert for Little Kids Rock, a music-for-kids non-profit. And speaking of photographs, an old paper of mine that does just that is included among this month's articles at The Matthew's House Project. Finally, issue 2.2 of the New Pantagruel is now online — plenty reading to while away many quiet hours at work or elsewhere! No original content from me yet, but a couple book reviews are forthcoming later this year. In terms of family news, this Friday (today,
when most of you read this) is a big day for my sister, who graduates
from her MOS training. MOS is essentially her job-specialty school, so she's
been learning all about what's required in the duties of a combat engineer. More
details on the occasional blog I maintain on her behalf. Next stop: Cherry Pt.,
NC.
Ev and our younger brother Josh, earlier this year. Update Ev was scheduled to deploy to Iraq early August, on a fairly dangerous mission, but plans unexpectedly changed late this week. Things are now up in the air, but it now doesn't appear she'll deploy till February 2006. As long as we'll have her in the country and easily cell-phone accessible, we're certainly glad to have her. posted @ 11:03 PM on Thu - May 5, 2005 remark!
