nyj55: another job ap

But this one's officially the first sent out-of-state this round.

I'm not particularly hopeful, in some ways — given that I didn't land a New York job until moving here — but I was also looking at entry-level work then. This time I'm not.

"Applying out-of-state! Wow you really are serious about moving," some of you may be saying. Weird, huh? This morning while I was laying in bed deciding if I was ready to get up or not yet, I stared up at the ceiling of my getting-to-be-familiar back bedroom with the rattan-like window screens from Urban Outfitter (purchased on discount, how else?) and bright, sunny windows. Could I so soon be leaving this place?

No idea. Indeed much of the future is a great blur. But so far the out-of-New York job listings (even just on Craigslist) seem fairly interesting compared to what I've been seeing here. Which could also mostly be the "glam" factor of looking someplace new.

In any case, now that I'm increasingly reaching the conclusion I don't want to stay in New York long-term, and given that I'm currently unemployed, it begs a serious question: do I seek a next job here in the city, postponing any move another year, at least ... or do I start looking beyond the city, where I might like to move? Obviously I'm starting to shift toward the latter.

But hey, maybe this will all just be so much idle talk: Christi's "big story" for the month of October, which swiftly slips down to merciful oblivion once the Real Thing comes along. I guess we'll have to wait till next week's episode to see where this plot twist goes — if anywhere.
