God Stands Ready to Give You a Breakthrough

Are you or a loved one facing what seems to be an impossible situation? It could be a terrifying illness or family crisis or financial fix. Whatever it is, you need to know that God is the Master of the impossible situation. He excels at turning around crises into triumphs. When King David faced the Philistines at a place called Baal-perazim, the Lord broke through for him against his enemies. God became known to David as the God of the Breakthrough. That is the meaning of the name - Baal-perazim. David exclaimed, "God has broken through upon my enemies BY MY HAND." If you are a child of God in an impossible situation, God is ready and willing to give you a breakthrough, and He does it through the power He has placed inside you. Paul wrote in Philippians 4, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." The name Christ means "the Anointed One." Christ is in you. And because Christ is in you, His anointing is on the inside of you, too. The anointing is GodÕs burden-removing, yoke-destroying power. GodÕs anointing is His supernatural power within human flesh enabling you to do what only God can do.

The supernatural power of God is as close to you as your next breath. It is always available. It is a prescription that never runs out. In Ephesians 3, the Holy Spirit provides us a model prayer that we can pray for ourselves or anyone else, for that matter. Pray "that He may grant you É to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man." The chapter closes by saying that God "is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we can ask or think, according to the power THAT WORKS WITHIN US."

God is inviting you to ASK for the release of His life-giving power that will quicken every cell of your body to ward off any disease or agent, and that will restore our souls (our minds and emotions). All things must bow to the awesome God that is our Father.

No matter what you are going through, you can be sure that God is right there in the middle of the situation with you, and HeÕll never leave nor forsake you. He is there to take you to the other side. And He will not rest until you have complete peace and victory.

I like the attitude of my brother-in-lawÕs mother. She was recently diagnosed with incurable liver cancer and given six months to live. Did she simply give in to the doctorÕs report? Absolutely not. She rose up defiantly and exclaimed, "Well then, IÕm gonna be the first miracle in Utica, New York. And IÕm going around to tell all my friends that." That is the kind of indomitable spirit of faith that God is looking to show Himself strong in.

The Bible says that God is a REWARDER of faith. By faith, people of all ages have obtained GodÕs approval. But God has given you a will that must steadfastly be set with a determination to receive that reward. He canÕt make decisions for you. You are the establishing witness that must decide that GodÕs words are coming to pass in your life, and not the lies that Satan has been playing through your mind like a ticker-tape. In fact, Satan is the one that has been telling you all along that your situation is impossible, when all the time God can see from His vantage point the way of your escape.

So rise up today and speak to that mountain and tell it to be removed in Jesus name. Stir yourself to action by speaking GodÕs word out of your mouth, "I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and "All things are possible to him that believes." If you continue to resist the enemy that is coming against you, and donÕt give up, he must ultimately flee. That is the authority that the believer has in JesusÕ name. God is watching over His Word to perform it. The God of the Breakthrough is awaiting your invitation to act.
