I met this gentleman a few years ago at an outdoor art show - a very personable guy with arresting features. His name is Paul. I've finally painted his likeness. Maybe it took so long because I secretly suspected his mustache, smile and beard would be... challenging.

I'm happy to say I didn't shy away from his powerful features and try to dilute them. Instead, this is an engaging, yet challenging painting with the yellow and blue playing counterpoint to each other with the strong portrait uniting the colors.

Doesn't he look like he's related to Donald and Kiefer Sutherland? It was hard for me to shake the semblance while I was painting him.
