What's new
I've been painting in some pretty spots this summer.
On July 16th, I enjoyed talking with artist Eric Jacobsen and collector Duane Snyder at a very informal installment of The Rental Sales Gallery's lecture series. Duane is an evangelist for the democratization of art collecting. He calls himself the "working-class collector," and is passionate about the richness owning art brings to one's life.
An emergency broadcast system storm warning for tornadoes and thunder did not deter too many people from attending the June 4th opening reception for my solo exhibit at The Sovereign Collection.
A props person from a new Harrison Ford movie crew rented three of my paintings this spring. Ford plays a doctor searching for a cure to some terrible disease, according to the volunteer from Rental Sales Gallery. My paintings are for the Dr. office scene. (Doctor office art is usually better than dentist office art, right?)
Last year, I appeared on Oregon Public Broadcasting's popular program, Oregon Art Beat. Five-odd minutes of me driving around in a red truck buying cupcakes and doughnuts. Art can be funny.
