Ultra-feminine 1950s white tulle and lace strapless dress From the USA, a delightful example of a 50s prom dress. Perfect for that summer wedding or formal. Has a Ladies Garment Workers Union label. Strapless style with boned bodice, the front of which is made from rows of gathered nylon tulle across the bust area. The back and under bust are made from lace lined with satin-like fabric. The full tulle skirt has lace until the hips where it then is made from rows and rows of gathered tulle.The skirt is lined in satin and also has a plain white tulle layer on top ot that. Colour is slightly off-white most likely due to age. Has metal zip at side. This dress is in excellent vintage condition. Has the slightest marks where the old hooks and eyes near zip had some rust which are not noticeable when on. Also the velvet ribbon has some fraying and could be easily replaced if desired. A magnificent exclusive pure silk and ribbon lace gown by Gardams Circa 1980s gown designed by Gardams of Brisbane (renowned for their quality and workmanship). In stunning oyster pink slub silk. The fitted boned bodice has a dropped waist and the front is covered in suberb ribbon lace. The puff sleeves are trimmed with motifs from the lace and the flowers adorning the tops of sleeves and back of dress are also made from the ribbon lace.The super full skirt is gathered into dropped waist and has 2 layers of tullle underneath as well as being fully lined. Has zip at the back. In excellent condition. Only flaws I could find are a few very small brown insect marks which would be hardly noticable when on. Size small (Approx AU 8). Pretty 1950s white tulle strapless dress A gorgeous soft 50s prom dress. Perfect for a garden wedding or formal. No label but well made. Strapless with boned bodice, the front of which has rows of gathered nylon tulle and scattered lilac ribbon rosettes which have rhinestones (have become dark over the years but could easily be replaced) sewn in the centre of each. The skirt is made from rows and rows of gathered tulle alternating with satin ribbon binding and a deep flounce around the hem. Fuly lined in satin-like fabric and also has a plain white tulle layer on top ot that. Closes at side with a metal zip.
