Part 1 in an occasional, light-hearted series wherein your humble scribe updates a song from the 60's, 70's or 80's for the 21st century and in light of his personal circumstances.

Sung to the tune of the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood ."

I once had to go, or should I say, I had to pee.
First thing in the morning, this isn’t good, sportin’ some wood.
I tried to delay but the pressure was building you see,
So I pushed down on it but it knocked my feet out from under me.
I sat on the floor, biding my time, scratching my head.
We thought, just the two of us, inspired I went back to bed.
She said “It’s too early, sleep now” and she started to laugh.
I told her, “OK, fine then!” and crawled myself back to the bath. Room.
And when I was done, I was alone, that wood had gone.
So I wrote a post, isn’t it good, sportin’ some wood.

    Credo

"Sign on, young man, and sail with me. The stature of our homeland is no more than the measure of ourselves. Our job is to keep her free. Our will is to keep the torch of freedom burning for all. To this solemn purpose we call on the young, the brave, the strong, and the free. Heed my call, Come to the sea. Come Sail with me." - John Paul Jones

"Pardon him, Theodotus; he is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature" --George Bernard Shaw, "Ceasar and Cleopatra"

"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music."--Friederich Nietzsche

"Blogito Ergo Sum" - Neptunus Lex
