Yaron Meishar in Australia



Many folk dancers will know of Yaron through his Rokdim shop and website where he distributes folk dance materials including music and videos.

Yaron is here in Australia for workshops, having been invited by the Perth folk dance community, and then the Melbourne-based Nirkoda club.

This weekend, while Americans are enjoying their Memorial Day camps, Yaron has been teaching some of the dances which will be shown at camps, especially Gadi Biton's new material.

Tonight at a partner workshop, Yaron taught Gadi's latest hit, Perach Sheli, and I'm sure it will be popular at David Dassa's Rikud camp in California.

Yaron is here for more workshops, inclduing a nostalgia night on Monday, and an open workshop on Tuesday where large crowds are expected to attend to support and learn.
