Here's the box with my old faithful 2G 10GB iPod

Opening the box to reveal what greets the eye

What's in the Box

The finned bottom unscrews and is used to mount the Hard Drive

Finned bottom close-up showing 4 screws to remove it.

Interior of the ministack with bracket attached. Note instructions don't inform to unscrew this for hard drive assembly

Bracket removed

Turned upside down, bracket ready for hard drive

Hard drive inserted and 4 screw holes aligned

Bracket assembly almost ready for insertion; insertion required fins to clear bottom cutout - tight!

Tight fit for the hard drive bracket; cable ribbon attached to HD, not to ministack board. Ribbon comes fitted to board but removed to aid assembly

Thermal sensor taped in place to hard drive centre

Plastic lid about to be fitted according to tab alignment

Powered up, cool blue glow which pulses to reflect data transfer

Connected to the Powerbook by Firewire with icons revealed on Desktop
