Shrek's missing

Last month, I blogged about getting a new German Shepherd pup.

"Shrek", as his breeders called him, had a tough few days before a 180 degree shift - and then we bonded very strongly.

Now, Shrek is missing after going for a walk, and bolting from his collar to play with other animals in Caulfield Park where I take him twice a day.

By the time I was informed he was missing (he was being walked by a friend whose dog had died recently) he was not to be seen.

This occured 6pm Thursday April 7, 2005. Shrek tried to come home, but finding the gates closed, was seen running fown Inkerman Road towards St.Kilda.

We have contacted the usual Melbourne-based councils, associations and institutions, and can only now hope kind folks can see he is not a stray but a well cared for and loved puppy who dearly wants to be home with his family.

He has a breeders' tattoo in his ear (ELL 061) and his nose has a few blue stiches in it from a bite three weeks ago.

He will be giving any new person hell by howling and being generally miserable and frightened - so if you see him, or know of someone or a family with a new German Shepherd, please make some enquiries on my behalf. Ta!
