Fashion or function?
My next phone will either be the Sony Ericsson
S700i or the Nokia 7280.

The Nokia 7280 has no keypad, just something called a Navi wheel. It works like the wheel on the iPod, and allows you to scroll through and select numbers. Texting will be a bitch. But the phone looks so, so, impossibly, appealingly frivolous.
Of course the S700 has more of what I already like in my T630.
It's like choosing between a pair of Jimmy Choos and designer sneakers. They're both nosebleedingly expensive, but one lifts your bum and elongates your legs in exchange for stiletto suffering, while the other at least lets you run for your life, and can be worn with practical socks.
