Hodgepodge.

In heavy rotation today:
Antony and the Johnsons, I Am a Bird Now
- Read my gush below.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
- The Electric Company (yes, that was Rita Moreno screaming "Hey you guysssss") on LSD. You must give them a chance. How can you not, when they have lyrics like "You will pay for your excessive charm"? You can download tracks here.
The Arcade Fire, Funeral
- The 80s, 90s and oughts in one gilt-wrapped package of emotional devastation and resurrection. Pitchfork, as always, has a more intelligible review.

Recommended:
Senuti (cute reversi-name, instantly recognizable by Manila commuters who flag down taxis named Selaznog and Zerreitug) by Whitney Young is a donation-powered lovely little piece of software (requires Mac OS X v 10.3 or higher) that lets you transfer songs from your iPod back to your Mac. Thank heavens because I accidentally deleted Dear Catastrophe Waitress and Opera Chillout from my hard disk.

Podcasts:
Top Dogs in Manila
- The self-proclaimed "world's first vodkast." Irreverent, spottily hilarious, but quite valuable for those who need to be slapped in the face with testosterone. Here's the feed.
Not Your Usual Bollocks
- Feed yourself some delish UK indie.
Geek Fu Action Grip
- "Reviews and rants from a gamer, fangirl, writer and mommy, all in one." She sounds too familiar. Get my doppelganger's feed here. Sample: "The most important baby purchase you can make is a Tivo."

Yes, you can now download podcasts and listen to them through iTunes v 4.9. And you can also use GarageBand to create your own podcast, so what are you waiting for?
