No 'net but lots of seafood.

Our hotel, Albe Hotel, is wonderfully near to the Palais where the Cannes Lions Festival is being held. It also boasts the world's smallest elevator. I wanted to take a picture of Mary and I squished into it but I couldn't extend my arm far enough to take the shot. The hotel has no internet access. At the Palais, they are limiting wifi access to 20 minutes per session with a maximum of 5 sessions a day per delegate. "To be fair," said the bright yellow coupon handed to me.

Today I am at Crepes Bretonnes, a few steps away from the hotel, which has wifi and good ham. I'll be walking over to the venue soon. But I have to say I'm not used to this. Being disconnected is good when you're on vacation, but this is not a vacation. Not yet. There is so much work to do!

Congratulations to our Young Lions from Leo Burnett, who got a SILVER for their work. Silver! What an amazing thing. Breed them young and train them hard and they will go further than we ever managed to. We had dinner with the rest of the Philippine delegates last night, thanks to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. One of the girls could barely finish her steak. But they certainly are up there with the rest of the lions. I am so proud of them.

This entry must now end because my battery's giving up. Seafood stories later.
