Four Dinkies and a Carene walk into a bar...

The moment I start telling pen jokes, they will save a seat for me in the Valhalla of the Geeks.
Recently arrived is the third Dinkie from the left. (Thanks, Andy!) Now I have a posse of four Dinkies. I am seriously thinking of having a silk case made for them. In an act of wild-eyed optimism I purchased a battery-powered plastic sewing machine thingamajig and it remains in its box because the English in the Taiwanese manual is only pretending to be English. I wonder if there are other people in the country who collect vintage Conway Stewart pens. Give us a wave, will you?
Watching over the Dinkies like a surly but well-armed bodyguard is my new Waterman Carene. It has a guilloched sterling silver cap and a blue body; I thought it would be heavy in the hand, but it's actually a kind, ergonomic shape and weight. The nib is (shock) a medium, one of the few I own, and I know that it will undergo the stub treatment one day, so it will actually possess some character. I really should get going and order that Micromesh. I have no idea why I've dallied so long.
My P990 is sulking. Not only have I dropped it thrice, I have also managed to lose both stylii that came with it. So I have been tapping the screen with whatever fountain pen is at hand. (Closed, of course.) I'm certain this appropriation will never be a poster child for Modern Retro, but it is all I can manage.
