Plugs.
Budj sent
around a couple of pages of his new comic Trese (with Ka-jo Baldisimo) last
month, and I thought it quite an intriguing premise. Like Lola Basyang meets
Underworld meets CSI: Miami. Visit his blog to reserve a copy (I did!), or
visit the Alamat booth at the Komikon (October 22, UP Bahay ng Alumni).
From Rome:
"Contemporary dance choreographers pay tribute to women poets in celebration of the Centennial of the Feminist Movement in the Philippines in "Ars Poetica," an evening of dance and poetry, on Oct. 22 and 23, 2005, 8pm at Dance Forum Space, 38 West Avenue. The program is presented by Myra Beltran's Dance Forum, the National Commission on Culture and Arts, Subcommittee on Culture and the Arts, NGO-GO National Network for the Feminist Centennial in cooperation with Air Dance.
This contemporary dance concert features "high priestess of poetry" Virginia Moreno's poem "Order for Masks" in collaborative choreography by Myra Beltran, Paul Morales and Bunny Brendia."

New blogs to visit:
Trisha is our resident Naruto fanatic and digital retouching goddess, and her blog is called Streaks of Light.
I knew Noelle in college, and I have always admired her writing. She edited Fast Food Fiction and it was her doing that my blog was featured in an Elle Singapore article. Read Noelle's Notes to Nowhere - you'll be glad you did.
