Blackburied.
So now I have a P990i. I must confess that seeing
the iPhone only a week after buying Sony Ericsson's 3G smartphone gave me sludge
and drudge in my technogirly heart. But having bit the chrome-appointed bullet,
I decided to make the best of it.
(It doesn't help that the W880i is coming out soon.
That's the Razr Walkman phone. Its tagline is Slim Walkman, fat sound.)
There's a lot to like about my P990, which means - I hope - that it will stick around for a bit longer. I'm finally getting accustomed to QWERTY and stylus input. I would like to believe I know what's in the menus. Surprisingly, its bulkiness doesn't bother me. I have loose pants with deep pockets.
On the downside, I am not as happy with the Blackberry implementation as I thought I would be. I don't get my email when it's sent. I get my email in bunches of 95 unread on a Saturday afternoon - email previously read in my Notes application. I get kernel panic dialog boxes quite often, usually when I'm saving a new word (I use T9) to the dictionary. And large screen real estate means large fingerprint smudges.
Hmmm. What to do.
