The right-most self-portrait is the most recent, drawn weeks after the class. Suffice it to say, it motivated me to view the DVD lesson on sighting. While an improvement over the 7/11 portrait, it lacks the detail of the 7/15 portrait gained from Brian's gentle suggestions. Well, drawing is a journey, and I am on the way :-)

The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. In February, 2007, I took Brian's one day Sketching Workshop at the Met in NY City. You can see the fruits of my labor here. I am thoroughly convinced that it IS possible to learn something new as I age, and that doing so opened my eyes to new ways of thinking about the world around me.
