HGTV I am happy to announce that HGTV came to SKYELAB. They called me in February and asked if they could come out in a few weeks. Of course I was thrilled. With only two weeks notice, I scurried and cleaned and arranged the mosaics and shoved the 'not so beautiful' things into closets and under beds! Let the cameras roll!. It was a long day of shooting and we also strolled around town and shot some of my public art. Was I too fat on camera, too stupid when I spoke, too fast or too slow? All that comes to mind when you know it will be seen on a National Television Network. I will let you be the judge of all that. It aired on Offbeat America on Sunday night 6:00 PM June 11th. If you missed it then, I was told it will show again on August 11th, I believe at 7:00 PM, check your local listing for time and channel. I have gotten good feedback from the show, and I think the mosaics photographed well, as for seeing myself (Oh God, is that what I really look like??) and hearing my own voice (is that what I really sound like???) well.... I just have to grin and bear it. Hope you can tune in and enjoy the show. Oh, good news! For anyone who doesn't have cable or was not able to tune in, my son is putting a copy of the show up on this site, that you can click on. Unfortunately it will be a bit blurry, due to formatting and translating it for the web, but you will see enough I hope to make it worth viewing.
