holiday kids...
Some of the wonderful people I had the
opportunity to work with in the past month for Holiday portraits. More to
come!
First I'll start out with Mickey & his girls. Mickey owns Corner Bistro in Wilmington... feel free to stop by in order to view the rest of the photos from his shoot!
As well as Elizabeth Atlee and her family - Elizabeth provided me with her amazing talents this past spring when she assisted in the decorating of my studio. She was so great and was willing to trade some of her services in exchange for a family photo session - it was a huge help to me and a generous gesture when I was on a tight budget creating my new space. Anyone who comes into my studio will know that Elizabeth is a wonderful designer - if you need her info please let me know and I will pass it on!
How cute is Michele and Rob's dog?!!
Davis Jefferson is my VP of IT - a certified apple consultant and a major lifesaver! I was so glad to meet his wife and beautiful daughter.
Tracy and her family put these images above their fireplace, all as 20x20 prints. I can't wait to visit this winter and see final result!!!

some fun new cards
We've been working busily on holiday cards here
in the studio - most people choose a photo or two for the front and custom text
on the inside and/or back. I'm so happy that these beautiful cards will be
going out to our clients' friends and families. They are high-quality,
frame-able fine art cards which goes over really well with all those who receive
them!

Landon
I was so excited have the opportunity to work
with my friend Vanessa, who owns Two Paper Dolls in Wayne. As you can see, her
son Landon is absolutely adorable and was dressed fabulously for the photo
session! She told me that she gets most of his clothing at Genes Urban
Baby Boutique in Wayne, which is definitely where I'll be going if I ever have
any kinds of my own!

Ramsey's Farm benefit
On Saturday September 30th, while I was
photographing a wedding, Becca was working hard in the pumpkin patch donating
her time to the Delaware Community Foundation, an event sponsored by The Next
Generation. The Next Generation is an organization created by young
professionals in Delaware, working together to fundraise grants to non-profit
organizations that have infant mortality prevention programs. Needless to say
this is a great cause and I'm very happy that LNP could be a part of
it.

more fall portraits!
Lately, we've been super busy with children's
portraits which makes me so happy because the weather has been absolutely
beautiful! It's such a great time of year before the holiday rush and the cold
weather for a family
photo...
Starting with Genevieve and her mom, Rachel. Genevieve's aunt Beka works at Innove Events in Philadelphia. Genevieve and Rachel stopped by in Philadelphia on their way back from Europe where her daddy was working as a professional surfer. I guess it was only fitting that we explored some water photos...
and in the studio...
if anyone knows these kids... shhhhhh! this photo is a surprise gift to their mom courtesy of their mom's good friend Veronica of Perfect Weddings
we've also had several babies in the studio lately... meet baby Joey:
Joey's announcement card, which was custom designed here in the studio:

The McGuire kids...

And Kristine, Tom and Austin. It was so great to see Kristine and Tom again - I photographed their wedding in August of 04... and now with their newest addition:
And finally, the Cella family! Angie is a an executive regional vice president for Arbonne International, and needed a headshot & family photo for an article being written about her success with the company. Congrats Angie!

Some more portraits!
The fall portrait season has begin and I'm so

Alicia & Ryan's Engagement
So far Alicia and Ryan have the only 2008
booking on my calendar - which is a great way to make sure you have your first
choice wedding date! They brought their dog along for their engagement session,
which made for a lot of laughs and an all around very fun time. Thanks
guys!

Kadija's Maternity Session
I was so excited to see Kadija again after
photographing her wedding last December! She was such a great maternity
subject... as you can see very flexible in where I took her and the way in which
she posed for the camera. She was completely up for anything and I think her
photos really show the benefits of having that mindset! I really love working
with wedding clients once they begin to have families - it's so great to see
former brides as their lives progress into new stages of
life.

more families on the beach!
Upon arriving home from Chicago, I went right
back to the beaches in order to finish up the portraits I had scheduled for that
week...
Cheryl, Kevin and MacKenzie: It was so fun to photograph their family, mainly because they are both friends as well as clients. It's always so great to work with people I know! MacKenzie was so funny... at first she wanted absolutely nothing to do with the sand and by the end of the photography session she didn't want to leave the beach.
Nikki, Graham and Jack: Photographing Nikki, Graham and Jack was such a pleasure - Nikki is actually a photographer over in Scotland and had contacted me a while ago to possibly photograph her family while she was visiting the states this summer on vacation. I'm so glad we were able to make it work from a scheduling perspective, they actually flew down from Boston, landed in Philadelphia and then drove to the beach in order for me to photograph their family. It was great to meet them and I loved hearing about their travels in the US. Thanks so much for making the effort guys - I hope it was well worth it!

Portrait update! July 28th...
I've been photographing lots of portraits
lately - so I've decided that I'm just going to have a portrait update every
week so all you wonderful folks out there can see what I've been up to. I did
update my kid's site today with LOTS of new photos, so feel free to peek around
and enjoy!
I'm going to start with Adrianna's maternity session - Adrianna owns Carmen Boutique in the Trolley Square and actually used to be a fashion model in her native country of Romania. This was a very pleasant surprise as I had no idea she had a modeling background, she did a great job in front of the camera and I was so excited to edit her session!
Along with Adrianna's maternity - it was twins week at Laura Novak Photography!
The first set is the son and daughter of Matt Ostroff, who is a DJ for EBE Talent - it was such a pleasure to meet his family after seeing him at several different weddings!
The whole family:
and the kiddos! Reina and Ethan.
and the other set of twins: ... slightly younger with the fun challenges of in-studio portraiture. I think we got some good ones but they were really active - good thing that the studio is set up where children can be photographed at any angle!
