A priceless Monet painting is stolen, and wealthy businessmen Thomas Crown (Pierce Brosnan) becomes the lead suspect.A no-nonsense insurance investigator (Rene Russo) sets out to recover the missing painting. Through the course of her investigation, she meets Crown and becomes suspicious of him.
She decides to get close to Crown by dating him. Meanwhile, a police detective (Leary), also on Crown's trail, falls for the investigator. The result is a sensuous cat-and-mouse game with a stylish flair that keeps you guessing until the end.

The Thomas Crown Affair is a remake of the hit 1968 film starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. Filming began Oct. 5, 1998, on location in New York City, and included scenes shot in the Caribbean.
