Mother was sleepy this morning, but not very sleepy this afternoon.

When I got there this afternoon Mother was in bed, but she wasn't asleep. She was glad to see me. She was saying that she needed to do something, but I couldn't figure out what it was and I told her, "We don't have anything we have to do, but take a nap." She said, "Yes, the apple." I hadn't yet mentioned that I brought an apple, so she remembered that I usually bring an apple. I got the apple and we split it, but she only ate half of her half. I then trimmed her toenails and fingernails and then I let her rest for a little while. We split a banana and once again she only ate about half of her half. She then rested until it was time for me to leave. I told her that I would bring Dad back with me and liked that idea.

When we got back Mother was still eating and Dad went over to feed her. Mother ate well and when she had finished eating she was glad to see me and we took her to her room. She was ready to get into bed and she wanted to change into her gown. I helped her into her gown and then into bed. She fell asleep quickly and she was asleep when we left.
