Snow from a Blue Sky

Drifting down from invisible clouds
blown in on a careless breeze
Settling onto these dry streets
and clinging to unwary trees

Snow from a blue sky
tears from a magpie
Petals from a wilted flower
mothers milk now turned sour
It's snow from a blue sky
Snow from a blue sky

Crystalline structures destroying a mind
powdered sugar on a razors edge
a glimmer of white to the snowblind
cresting banks delicate ledge

Snow from a blue sky
icicle daggers in minds eye
Winter bites and shows her power
conquering all in desperate hour
It's snow from a blue sky
Snow from a blue sky

And the cherry blossom confetti rides the wind
like snow from a blue sky
snow from a blue sky
