Lars Nordstrom, recently relocated to Stockholm, Sweden, is an aspiring writer that looks nothing at all like the person in this photograph. He used to, about 20 years ago, but that was Switzerland and that was the 80's and things have settled down quite a bit since then. Currently Lars is living in Stockholm with his wife Cecilia, and their amazing cat Tigger. Lars has worked as a Security Guard, an Office Clerk, an Inside Sales Telemarketer, a General Machinist, a CNC Programmer and finally an Engineering Model Maker and Tool Maker. This broad experience base has made him rather bitter about work in general, and he much prefers to spend his time pretending to be a writer and going on about being meaningfully unemployed all the time.
An unlikely poet, he has written numerous poems over the years, some good, some truly horrible and even one or two that have been published by some of the less reputable poetry publishing companies out there. Currently Lars is working on writing a book of epic proportions and has, amazingly enough, gotten as far as the title "The Machinist's Blue's" and written the word "The" several times...
His favourite author is Douglas Adams, and he would very much like to be able to write like Adams, but unfortunately he suffers from a similar condition to Adams' own. Both have expressed a love of being a writer, but both also had a problem with the actual, sitting-down-and-doing-some-writing bit of the job. Although, in Adams' case, it has been further complicated by the fact that he passed away, without warning, in a very untimely fashion. His editor, perhaps a bit unfairly, still thinks this is just some elaborate ploy to escape yet another deadline, but alas, Adams is gone and the world is less one literary genius.
Please have a look at some of the poetry and writing samples and enjoy them or hate them, either way they are what they are and that's the simple beauty of poetry and writing.
