Next day (Saturday, 16 July), we walked Peter's Creek loop. It's seven miles, with about the middle mile and a half being down in a cool canyon, right along the creek. Since it's a semi-loop, we could leave the tent and tarp set up, leave most of the stuff there (but none of the food!), and Ben did this part of the trip packless. We had still seen only 3 people since starting out Friday morning.
