In this day and age, politics is such a touchy subject to
so many people, I debated the addition of this link page.
As one can see looking at this list, my interests are all
over the map. I don't consider myself a party person, and
which way I vote tends to depend upon how well I think
the current administration is doing and who is in charge
of the legislature. Since I believe in the strength of
checks and balances, I particularly like when one party
leads the executive branch while the other party holds
sway in the legislature.
The EFF focuses its efforts on preserving our rights
and responsibilities in the technological age. Never in
history has the individual had so much power to
disseminate thoughts and knowledge while at the same
time having the ability to significantly influence both
our politicians and our businesses. The EFF provides a
support structure for this effort.
Most would agree that our Federal Tax system is many
things: corrupt, intrusive, non-regressive, and
damaging to our economy. The bipartisan,
revenue-neutral FairTax plan would remove all income
taxes, institute a fair and truly regressive tax system
based on consumption, and significantly decrease the
costs associated with meeting our tax burden.
Let’s do away with the IRS and make April 15th
just another day!
