Links, Diversions, and Fun, Oh My!!
I often visit many Mac sites. These are some of
the sites, and a quick description of each. If you like Macs, check them
out, but if you don't know anything about computers, you might not understand
much. But hey, if you know nothing about computers, who let you get on
the web in the first place?? Seriously though, I did sneak in a few non-computer websites at the end. They're really quite interesting!
-
Apple Computer (as
well as their Hot News, Knowledge Base, and Online Store).
-
Macintouch,
dedicated to Macintosh news and information.
-
Think Secret with mostly made-up rumors regarding upcoming hardware and software, and Crazy Apple Rumors, a slightly more light-hearted look at upcoming Apple moves. They're sort of like the Onion, America's Finest News Source.
-
O'Grady's
PowerPage, providing iMac, PowerBook, and general Macintosh news and
rumors.
-
The OS X FAQ for MacOS X technical news and support, or MacOS X Hints for tips and tricks for using OS X.
-
OK, now for a couple computer-free links: NASA Human Space Flight's International Space Station Sightings lists upcoming sightings of the Space Station; you can see a light dot move across the sky just after sunset or before sunrise, and it's really quite cool. There's also my school, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and How Stuff Works, a website that picks apart all sorts of items to show you how they work.
-
And finally, Mac
Line, a FirstClass Client-based BBS in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
I use this every day, and they (well, he-the one person who runs the place)
provide great services for a low price. :-)
