Coming of Age Day

Just so happens the day before I leave Tokyo, it's Coming of Age Day in Japan, a celebration of young men and women who are turning or just turned 20. Johnnie was invited by his students to attend the ceremony in the neighborhood, so naturally I tagged along. What a sight! Every girl there was wearing a kimono, and there were hundreds of them. They were dazzling. Johnnie wrote more about it in his blog, along with a photo.
