Week 8: Medieval Science through the 13th century
In our whirlwind tour of the history of science, this week we make our stop in medieval Europe to see "How the Irish Saved Civilization" in the 800s and explore the acclaimed "12th-century Renaissance." Our aim will be to get to know the scientists of medieval Latin culture in terms of their own place and time. We'll not be like tourists in Paris, Oxford, or Bologna who seek fast food at McDonald's. We'll take nothing for granted.
