See the Syllabus for general requirements and other critical information regarding projects. Do not undertake any project without obtaining prior approval from me. Here are some possible ideas to consider and discuss with me at your convenience:

• Lesson plan or Laboratory activity
  Preparation of a laboratory activity to be carried out by your classmates; e.g., on magnets, rainbows, etc.
• Model
  Construction of a geological or meteorological instrument or demonstration model, with written instructions for its use.
• Book Review
  Read an interesting book! See me for suggestions, prior approval, and essay instructions.
• Research paper
  Investigate the history or philosophy of some aspect of astronomy, geology, or meteorology, or write about some particular cosmological object or interesting geological locality.
• Field trip
  Plan and then undertake a geological field trip somewhere in Oklahoma. Provide plans and a report to your classmates.
