Departure!
On Saturday, March 5, 2005 it was time to leave,
but not without some glitches.
I got up at 4:00 in the morning in order to get
to Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY by 5:00. My flight was supposed to leave at
6:04 am. When we got to the check in counter there was a problem and I had to
go to Newark, NJ to get my flight. The flight left Newark for Dallas, TX at
11:33 am EST and we arrived at 1:50 pm CST. Then I had to wait until 5:16 pm
CST to leave Dallas and head to Mexico. While I was looking out my window seat
in the plane and thinking about the difficulties I had encountered I thought
about how awesome it was that monarch butterflies make their way to Mexico.
Like me they have never been there before - how do they do it! Maybe I'll get
some insight into that on my trip. Stay tuned!
