Race Against Leukemia We traveled to Anchorage to participate for in a marathon to raise money against leukemia. Sixteen hundred of us raised $4.4 million, $10,500+by us.

Less than 100 yards from Portage Glacier. Portage Gl. once covered this entire valley, no more. Injured-but-recovering moose at a refuge. Feeding on willow branches. Abandoned gold mine in Hatcher's Pass. Abandoned in 1951. Mt. McKinley obscured from 60 miles. Visible only about 20% during summer. Mt. McKinley (on rt.) fully visible from 130 miles...20,320 ft.
