9/20/03: Original release, developed and tested under Macintosh Common Lisp.

11/18/03: Sebastien Saint-Sevin reports that he has run Chio under Lispworks on a PC. He indicated several changes that were needed to increase ANSI compatibility (see change-history file). Sebastien also found several grammatical errors in the Chio manual. Thanks, Sebastien, for your help.
I have now tested Chio under Lispworks on the MAC also.

I encourage users of other platforms to report their experiences.
