ABOUT THIS SITE
I want to thank all the people who nagged me ceaselessly, wanting to see the website, none more loudly than Nikola Ivanov who just happened to be on the trip with me. Dry your eyes Kolyo, its here.
Constructing this site was a 7-month process involving scanning, editing, optimizing and captioning over 250 photos, typing out my journal entries from the trip, designing and re-designing the site structure, testing the site in various browsers and at various connection speeds, etc. It's far from perfect, but it works.
Sitting on commuter trains for 3 hours a day helped focus my efforts as did having various laptop computers at my disposal. Along the way I did manage to find time for other pursuits including organizing and enjoying a rafting trip in Costa Rica for myself and 3 friends. Procrastination? Well, maybe a little.
