Happy Holidays everybody!
I've recently been "filling" cells as I record from them with biocytin, a common tracer for neurons. Biocytin can then be detected by the binding of a fluorescent marker. In the image above, and the ones that follow, red is the cell that i recorded from, green is a glial cell marker (GFAP) and blue is a nuclear counterstain (DAPI, labels DNA in the nucleus of cells). Because they share christmas colors, I thought that I would use these to share some holiday cheer. Enjoy!
