Tony's Visit and Fall Colors S's brother Tony visited us at the end of
September, and this is my belated entry covering our road trip up American Fork
Canyon on the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway on our way to Sundance Resort
and Park City. The fall colors were amazing, and i hope that the
pictures do it justice.
We loved having T out here. The first night that he came in, we went straight to the Bayou for brews, wings, and burgers. The next day, we drove the Alpine Loop, ended in Park City for nachos and libations, and came home for a BBQ with friends. Saturday was spent at Snowbird . We enjoyed the Oktoberfest festival that was going on, and also took the tram to the top of the mountain for the view (and chill!). Thanks for coming out to visit T! ![]() The bottom of American Fork Canyon, and the start of the Alpine Loop. Those rocks above are famous for excellent limestone for climbing... ![]() further up the canyon, and the colors were amazing! we were constantly pulling over to take pictures! ![]() Mt Timpanogos is in the background. S and I climbed it last summer and I highly recommend it! another view (below). ![]() ![]() we then walked around Cascade Springs, which was really cool. Thanks for the recommendation KW! ![]() this is where 5-7 million gallons of water seeps out of the rock everyday. you can read about it here. ![]() where it gurgles down to collect in pools below... ![]() these pools were really cool. the water was really clear, and native, wild trout could be seen in their natural habitat. they didn't seem to mind us much, and they probably were busy bulking up for the winter. ![]() another thing that made the pools really cool was the falling leaves... ![]() S and T. ![]() that's it for now. happy autumn! see you soon T.
