Thesis Proposal



I am officially advanced to candidacy now. I defended my thesis proposal on July 14th and it was approved. I got some great feedback, and I felt that I was much more prepared and able to talk about the project than during the preliminary exam. The prelim exam is on a topic outside of the student's area of focus and takes on a much more examination style of questioning, so i think i felt that i was more on the chopping block, so to speak. i felt much more comfortable during the thesis proposal.

now, i just have to get into lab and do the experiments!! the good thing is, no more exams until my thesis defense.
