| Vers. 6.5 | 10/09/2007 | Vers. 6.5: Now with "Sing-along" function. You can sync the lyrics to the song, so that the words are highlighted in the lyrics field as they are sung during playback. (choose "Visit web site for more info…" in the contextual menu for (obviously) more info about this function). Added "+" button to the lyrics window to set the window height to fill the screen height. You can also set the font size for the big lyrics window in Preferences. Fixed problem with HTML code in the lyrics window. Improved windows resizing. |
| Vers. 6.1 | 06/04/2007 | New contextual menu item: "Show concert schedule for the current artist…". The separate lyrics window can also be opened from the contextual menu now. One of the lyrics sites had been modified, so that is fixed. Also one lyrics site is down and it's replaced with another one. Shows track and artist name in the separate lyrics window (auto scrolling of long names can be turned off). When clicking on a library/playlist, all the tracks in that playlist are listed. Shift-click to sort the list alphabetically. Mac: Fixed problem where artwork in the Widget Dock did not show up when iTunes was opened by clicking on the Widget's play button. Windows: I'm using standard scroll bars in the separate lyrics window now, because the display of lyrics didn't work properly on Windows. Clicking on tracks in the top drawer now works. Fixed problem where iTunes was opened automatically when the Widget was opened regardless of the settings in preferences. |

I use a few UNIX commands in my widget, and because Windows is not based on UNIX, some Unix Utils are necessary for it to function on Windows. They are no longer part of the installer package in Yahoo! Widget Engine 4.0. In this version the needed Unix utility is included. Mac: Fixed missing image when clicking on the Save button in separate lyrics window. |

Now you can scan the entire library in one go without the need to play anything. You'll find it in the contextual menu. Lyrics autoscroll: Hold down the shift key while you move the cursor over the lyrics area and you'll see scroll/pause/faster/slower buttons. Fixed problem where the scrollbar didn't work after displaying tags. Added rating to the track announcing function. Fixed insert track number and release year on Windows. Also fixed announcing on Windows so it doesn't say all the commas :-). |

Unfortunately, there were some Mac code in the Windows version 4, which prevented artwork from being deleted in iTunes even if "Delete artwork in iTunes when dismissing artwork" was checked in Preferences. Also dropped images were not exported to iTunes. This is fixed in this version. "&" and ""e;" is replaced with & and ' in downloaded lyrics. |

Now the current track's tags can be displayed/edited inside the Widget. Fixed the lyrics function so it will not hang forever if there are problems connecting to the lyrics sites. Also changed the sites where it fetches the lyrics. Three new contextual menu items, "Visit iTunes Music Store for more music by this artist", "Buy this album at Amazon" and "Sleep". Option to let it start iTunes automatically, start iTunes in minimized mode and also to start playing a random track from the main library. Option to make iTunes quit when closing the widget. New features for Windows: Export/import artwork to/from iTunes. If you have an image in the same folder as the music track, it will use that image. Track announcing. Now you can click on tracks, album and artists in the drawer to play them. Uses artwork in iTunes and searches Amazon even if the album name is not filled in. If it finds the album, it will fill in the album name for you. Fixed a bug which made it flash on and off when both "Hide when iTunes is not playing" and "Hide when iTunes is not running" were on. Three sizes to choose from. Click in the upper left corner to increase/decrease the size. Fade in/out trackinfo when track changes. Fade in/out sound volume when announcing tracks. Shows track number when the mouse cursor rests over the track name. Because of a change in Konfabulator there is a new way to set hotkeys: Opion click on the control you want to assign a hotkey to and follow the onscreen instructions. Lots of other improvements. Should work on Windows too, except for export/import artwork from iTunes and selecting track/album/artist/playlist in the drawer. I haven't had a chance to test it on a PC yet though. |
