The Birthday Girl


Mindy turned 29 on July 31, 2004. On that night she had a family type get together and the next day she had friends over to the house at the lake.

Mindy had some friends over for her birthday to the house at the lake. We played some games and had some cake and chatted through most of the day. That night after everyone had left we grabbed a blanket and a pillow and headed down to the dock to lay there and stare up at the stars on a beautiful night. we watched planes flying over head and pointed out stars and maybe saw a shooting star as well. We talked about us. Where we were in our lives before we met and now and where we might be someday. We could hear kids at a 4 H camp across the lake having a bunch of fun. It was kind of one of those cliche sounding things a couple might do, but it was still wonderful to share with her and something I'll always remember.
