Can you Grow?


I've been playing this puzzle game off and on for the last couple of weeks. I finally was able to solve it last night. I could have done it sooner, but I was misunderstanding one of the pieces. Give it a try and see how you fare with it. UPDATED: Clues given

UPDATED WITH CLUES
There is a flash puzzle game called Grow. The object is to create a world by placing 12 pieces onto a globe in the correct order. Depending on what order you put the pieces in, will determine your success. The top score possible is 20,000 points. It's a tad bit addictve. I would have solved the puzzle much sooner, but I was misunderstanding one particular piece. I thought it was an antenna and was used for calling down the spaceman. Later I finally realized what the piece actually was and was finally able to fully solve the game. Until that point I was able to reach the max level for every single piece except the pipe. I had grown pretty frustrated, so I decided to reevaluate what I knew about the game and the relationship each piece had to the others and abracapocus, hocuscadabra... it was solved. I won't give away the solution because the fun of the game is getting there yourself.
