Web 2.0 is considered to be
the evolution of websites for contributing, sharing and
editing information online. Some good examples are wikis
such as Wikipedia, video sharing such as
YouTube and blogging tools such as Google's
free Blogger. Community websites are popular for
allowing people to share and disseminate information
around a common theme. MySpace and FaceBook are two
common community websites.
Some people wonder what Web 3.0 will be like. It is thought this will
be some form of the semantic web where all the
collective information is organized and accessible at a
highly customizable and personal level. Web applications
will take on more characteristics of artificial
intelligence and can tailor information to users in very
specific ways.
