Socking away

I was at a conference in Idaho for the last week which is why I haven't been posting. But thanks to all that airplane time, I got a little bit of knitting done.

Here is the current progress on my sock

You can't really see it in this picture, but I have a little bit of waste yarn in there to reserve the spot for the afterthought heel. Don't ask me how I am going to pull that off... I have never done one before! When I find some good resources, i will let you know.

Mostly, the trip was about geology, not knitting.

This is what geologists on a field trip look like. You have probably honked at some that were clinging to a rock outcrop near a freeway exit.

I got to look at some great scenery that is made of some really cool rocks.

Most importantly, i tracked down something previously only known to me as a myth:

And it was sooo delicious. If only I could stand the diet version!
