It was one of those nights.... 


 

I arrived at knitting circle early so i could relax and enjoy a martini. Kate had pointed out to me that the project i brought with me (the shawl) was black and complicated. This is usually a recipe for disaster in the dimly lit Mel-O-Dee, but I was confident that I could handle it. In fact, i never got around to doing any knitting. I spent the entire night tangling and then untangling the skein of cascade miracle that i was supposed to be balling to knit with. dangit. you know, i wound two skeins of this with no problem, and this one just totally did me in. i hate it when that happens.

last night i was marveling at my awesome ikea entertainment center in my new apartment. it holds up my ultra-sophistocated entertainment system (my computer).
 


 
If you look closely you will notice that it is a pile of boxes that contained ikea furniture. i am working on an upgrade. Ignore the blinds and curtains - they came with the apartment and are gross. i have to change them.
