For my Secret Pal...

Shameless plugging of my own interests

Heidi, the organizer of secret pal 2, has given us a list of questions that might provide our secret pals with useful info. I decided to answer some of the questions here, since i really wish i had a better idea of what to send to my pal!

  • are you a yarn snob? i would not consider myself a total yarn snob. i will use acrylic red-heart type yarn occasionally for a novelty project, but not for anything that i would wear. i guess i prefer animal fiber yarns, though lately i been really interested in ribbon-type yarns. i love variegated yarn - i think kureyon is my favorite yarn ever. i am extremely curious about koigu since everyone uses and loves it, but no yarn stores around me carry it.
  • do you spin? Crochet? I took a drop spindle class. i still haven't spun all of my roving. i think it just went too slowly. I would like to learn to crochet to make blankets.
  • how long have you been knitting? I guess about a year or two. I am still a beginner.
  • do you have an amazon or other online wish list? I have an amazon list
  • What's your favorite scent? I like gently scented things of all kinds - not too stinky!
  • Do you have a sweet tooth? i love chocolate
  • what other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Right now it's just knitting or fixing my motorcycle.
  • What's your favorite color? i think that i find myself drawn to the uglier colors - brown, gray, green. though i also really like funky combos like green and orange or blue and orange (maybe i just like orange?). I seem to have a weakness for pink, but I don't like purple so much. like i said earlier anything variegated hypnotizes me.
  • What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? i don't have any pets, but i wish i had a kitty (please don't send me a cat!), and i am not married

enough boring wish list stuff for now.
