I just found an article in the SF Chronicle about
handspinners.
It also mentions a fiber festival in
September:

This reminds me.... Cheryl has been bugging me about the Intermediate Spinning Class at West Valley Alpacas .... I am starting to think that it is a good idea... talk me into it!
