Organist/Pianist/Accompanist Position
First Presbyterian Church, Fort Thomas, Ky.
The person who fills this position will be responsible for music accompaniment in the church. These responsibilities include playing for the worship services, (hymns, special music, prelude, postlude, offertory), providing accompaniment for the choir, and being available for special services, wedding and funerals.
We have two worship services Sept. – May (a small chapel service and our main worship service) and one service June – August.

The musician will also be expected to work closely under the direct supervision of the Music Director and the Minister to provide music that is coordinated with the Sunday service. He/she will be prepared to accompany the choir for Wed. evening rehearsal (7:15 – 8:45). He/she will also work with soloists and guest performers as needed for Sunday worship, in coordination with the Music Director. They will also work occasionally with the Christian Education Director.

The musician will also participate in the life of the church as time allows. The organ is a Steiner-Reck from Louisville built in 1980 and is a 10 rank unit organ. If interested, please contact: Rev. Terry Webster, 859-441-8939


POSITION OPEN - Coordinator of Music
St. John's Episcopal Church, Worthington, OH
Historic St. John’s Episcopal Church located on the village green of Worthington, OH (Columbus) is a healthy, diverse, stable and welcoming congregation whose average Sunday attendance is over 200. Our worship style is broad church and our theology is progressive. We have an immediate opening for an experienced organist and choir master.

We are seeking a skilled musician who has a deep appreciation and knowledge of the Episcopal liturgy and traditions. He/she will be a leader and an educator and will assist the rector in deepening the faith and spiritual lives of the entire congregation. Primary responsibilities will initially include two Sunday services and a weekday evening choir rehearsal.

The position also includes the selection of all music - including hymns, anthems, voluntaries and service music in conjunction with the Rector. Candidates for The Coordinator of Music position should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. A Master Degree or CAGO is preferred. Participation in organizations such as the AAM or the AGO would be a plus. The Coordinator should be able to demonstrate excellent growth potential and be willing to change as the job requires change. It is anticipated that this position will grow into a full-time position, hopefully within 3-4 years.

The Rector is willing to consider splitting the position between two people who have complementary skills and can work together well as a team. We have a custom pipe organ built by the Schantz Company. The organ has 33 ranks, three manuals, pedals and a total of 1,952 pipes. We also have several pianos.

Organist Needed
Faith Lutheran Church, Oxford, Ohio
Interim position involves providing music on organ and piano for liturgical Sunday morning worship service (10:00) throughout the year, including special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas Eve. Expectations include weekly prelude and postlude. Other duties include supporting the weekly choir rehearsals (Thursday evenings) during the school year and accompanying the Sunday anthem. Opportunities to play for weddings and funerals for additional fees. Student organists and additional pianist are available to share musical duties. Instrument is American Organ Builders (AOB) two-manual electronic organ, 55 ranks, based on a French Baroque model and built in 1992.
