Meeting Updates

We are very busy at our meetings! This is the place to read all about our activities, ceremonies, field trips, projects and everything else that takes place during our meetings. Check back after every meeting for the latest news!

Meeting 1 | Date: September 16, 2004

Today we welcomed our newest Brownies to our troop: Erin, Dana, Katie and Rachel! We know they're going to be great additions to our already wonderful troop! We talked about what we did over the summer and reviewed the Girl Scout Promise. We also found out who earned Try-Its over the summer! We started our "Friends Are Fun" badge today. We talked about being a good friend, how to make a new student feel welcome and talked about any new friends we made since the school year started. After snack, we made friendship pins! These will be fun to share and trade. We started learning the Girl Scout Law, too. We'll need to know it for our bridging requirements in order to become Junior Girl Scouts next year!

Meeting 2 | Date: September 30, 2004

Today we wrote letters to our new pen pals.  They are a thrid grade Brownie troop in New York!!  How cool is that??  We can't wait to hear back from them!  This is part of our September Try-It: Friends are Fun.  We also welcomed a new Brownie to our troop...Amber W!  Glad to have you with us, Amber!

Meeting 3 | Date: October 7, 2004

Today we finished our Friends are Fun badge by making a friendship garden poster.  There sure are lots of wonderful friendships "blossoming" in Troop 726!!  We also started talking about conflict resolution as part of our October Try-It, Working it Out.
