Treasure hunt...

...I've been trying to expand my dietary options lately. I've taken to e-mailing local companies to ask them about the gluten content of their foods if I can't tell from their labels. I'm particularly interested in hearing from the dairy company about their organic cottage cheese. I did get a reply tonight from a local Mexican restaurant chain, and the good news is that I CAN eat there if I have burritos put in a bowl without the tortilla (the other ingredients are rice, black beans, grilled chicken, salsa and cheese)! So I do at least have one refuge for eating out.

My foot has improved enough to allow me to visit the health food store today. I was mainly there for vitamins, but I did find some gluten-free food not available in the regular grocery store....reduced fat organic cheddar cheese, potato leek soup, organic beef jerky, mac and cheese (rice pasta with organic cheese), and cabernet marinara spaghetti sauce. I plan to hit the regular grocery store later this week now that I have my master list typed up....it will be much easier to know I'm buying the right thing when I'm there in person to compare labels. So perhaps I won't starve to death after all.

The temperature is supposed to go above freezing tomorrow....Yayyyyyy!

Still haven't caught up on all my new year errands (ones that got put off the past few weeks because of store/office closures). I'm trying to spread them out so I don't get too fatigued before work. It's driving Dan nuts because he'd very much like to just get them over with so he can have the car. I don't suppose that it helps that I'm disorganized and tend toward oversleeping.

Pain level: 7
Fatigue level: 6

Rave of the Day: Now, some people won't find this funny, but I love it! A celebrity "expose" on a famous "Sesame Street" character...reminds me a lot of VH1's "Behind the Music". Read if you dare....
