Memorial Day 2004

Before you load the cooler with sodas and beer.
Before you pack the car for the trip to the mountains or the beach.
Before you say goodbye to co-workers for the three day weekend, please spend a few minutes here.
This simple page pays respect to the 788 men and women that have died in Iraq since March 20, 2003.
Since I gathered this list on May 23, 2004, three new names were not included in this presentation. They are added here:
Lance Cpl. Andrew J. Zabierek, 25, Chelmsford, Mass.
Staff Sgt. Jeremy R. Horton, 24, Erie, Penn.
Staff Sgt. Jorge A. MolinaBautista, 37, Rialto, Calif.
This is a remembrance, not a tribute. It uses an American flag because they were Americans. I do not condone the events of the last 14 months.
Like the rest of the World's citizens, I wonder what America has done. And why.
